Mr. Uttam Bhlon an indigenous, first-generation Nepalese entrepreneur with over 15 years of leadership in Nepal's clean energy and sustainable finance sectors. Pioneered transformative projects, including a portfolio exceeding 800 MW in hydropower and 230 MW in solar. Driven by a strong interest in infrastructure financing and EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) contracting, he holds his Master’s Degree in Management from Tribhuwan University, MBA degree from Sunrise University India. Mr. Bhlon was the founding Chairman of NMB Microfinance and now serves in prominent roles, including Board of Director at NMB Bank Ltd, CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited, and Nepal Power Exchange Company; Chairman of the Board at Universal Power Company Ltd. His work underscores a strong commitment to financial inclusion and grassroots empowerment. He is actively engaged in sectors like trading, cooperatives, agriculture, education and tourism reflecting his multidimensional business and development expertise. Additionally, he holds key positions as Vice President at Independent Power Producers Association, Nepal; executive energy council member of Confederation of Nepalese Industries and Nepal Chamber of Commerce; and Energy & infrastructure committee member of Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce.
